Jacqueline Hogan, LSW

Psychotherapist
IL
I respect the human experience and have a firm belief that every individual has the capacity for growth, healing, and self-discovery. I view therapy as a collaborative process—an intentional relationship where safety, empathy, and authenticity are essential for change to occur. One of my core values as a therapist is unconditional positive regard. I strive to create a nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen and accepted as they are, while also being gently challenged to explore their patterns, choices, and inner narratives. I believe that real healing begins when people feel deeply heard and respected. My therapeutic work is guided by the belief that self-awareness and connection are foundational to mental and emotional well-being. I draw from integrative approaches—blending elements from person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and a solution-focused style—to meet each individual’s unique needs. I see therapy as a dynamic process that honors both the pain and the potential within each person’s story. I have Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Michigan, with a concentration in integrated behavioral health and clinical social work. My professional experience includes working in both acute and outpatient roles in which I’ve supported individuals through a wide range of mental health and substance use challenges. I am dedicated about providing compassionate, person-centered care to adolescents, adults, and families, drawing from a range of evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, and various recovery modalities. I strive to create a safe, collaborative space where clients can explore their experiences, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change. I commit to remaining open, curious, and reflexive about my own biases while honoring the unique worldview of each client.
