Getting to know Jacqueline Loo

The provider is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern I believe that everyone deserves a space where they feel truly seen, heard and understood. A space where they can explore their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgement. My goal is to create that space for you, so you can feel safe to share your story and empowered to take steps towards the change you want to see in your life. What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative and tailored to your unique needs. I used evidence-based practices like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care to guide our work while incorporating creativity and flexibility. This might mean practicing mindfulness or discovering practical strategies.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first session will be an intake appointment where we'll discuss what brings you to therapy, your history, and your goals for our work together. This helps me understand your unique situation and how I can best support you. Together, we'll develop a personalized treatment plan based on the specific goals you want to work on. Whether you're seeking to process past trauma, manage anxiety or depression, improve relationships, or work toward other meaningful changes, your goals will guide our collaborative work. After the intake, the direction of our sessions is entirely up to you. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and therapy works best when it's tailored to your specific needs and preferences. Whether you're interested in processing trauma through EMDR, exploring patterns through talk therapy, or a combination of approaches, we'll work together to find what feels right for you.
