Getting to know Jacqueline McNally
There are times that navigating the complexities of life can feel overwhelming, scary and distressing. Some of these feeling can leave your body feeling debilitated as if there is no end in sight. Our daily struggles are held within our body and impact everything from daily functioning, relationships to how we take up space in our environment. As a mind/body oriented therapist, you and I will collaborate to explore how your body holds onto stress, grief and/or trauma, and how it can show up as symptoms. I work with individuals struggling with anxiety, social anxiety, depression or malaise through illnesses, interpersonal relationship struggles, reproductive journeys, self-esteem and grief.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I believe in the person-centered/humanistic approach, recognizing the unique challenges and strengths each person brings with them to therapy. I believe meeting an individual where they are at. I feel focusing on the whole individual assists in maximizing healing and recovery. We will take therapy at your pace, building trust and an alliance without judgmentment. I aim to create a supportive environment, and collaborate with you to facilitate the change and growth you desire. I will meet you where you are at with compassion and understanding. Working with me with hopefully feel like the hug you needed, with a nudge to activate your sense of empowerment of moving through feelings as opposed to feeling stuck in them.
