Hi there, I'm Jacqueline! Jacqueline Mitchell, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, License #279505 My approach My approach is eclectic and tailored to meet the needs of each client I serve. I primarily utilize Person-Centered Therapy, CBT/REBT, DBT, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I also incorporate other methods as needed. My focus I find fulfillment in helping those in need overcome the obstacles they face. Everyone deserves to find their place of happiness and true contentment and to reach the highest level of satisfaction within themselves and where their lives are headed. It can be difficult to see and experience this when weighed down by the stressors life presents. My communication style My goal is to provide my clients with a safe and trusting environment of unconditional acceptance and support, allowing them the space and time to fully embrace their journey of healing and wellness. My journey to mental healthcare Through personal and life experiences, I have witnessed much suffering on multiple levels resulting from mental health and substance abuse/addiction. With such a lack of resources, the struggles these individuals and families faced were enormous and overwhelming. After witnessing these difficulties personally and professionally, I wanted to be someone who could contribute to improving society by providing appropriate and necessary resources to help each person and family conquer their difficulties and improve their circumstances and well-being. Education I earned my Master?s in Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. My goals for you Goal setting with each client varies depending on their individual needs. I like to give my clients control to communicate what they want in terms of life goals, and together we build a plan to reach those goals. My first session with you During the first session, I like to take the time to get to know one another and begin to establish common ground.
