I am a life coach and therapist on a mission to ignite social justice within and without. My journey blends the fire of activism with the grace of radical acceptance, crafting a path where personal growth and societal change intersect. Forget one-size-fits-all solutions. I believe in co-creating liberation – a collaborative journey where we explore your unique experiences, dismantle internalized limitations, and build the resilience to challenge unjust systems. Working with me you will find: Fierce compassion: I hold space for your full story, acknowledging both your struggles and your inherent worth. No judgment, just radical acceptance. Empowerment through reflection: We'll unpack the ways social injustices impact your life, not to dwell, but to fuel your inner fire for change. Actionable strategies: We'll move beyond navel-gazing and build concrete skills for advocating for yourself and others, within your own sphere of influence. My style? Think collaborative brainstorming session meets heart-to-heart conversation, sprinkled with a dash of playful rebellion. We'll laugh, cry, and challenge the status quo, all while building a life that's fiercely authentic and fiercely impactful. Ready to step onto the path of personal and societal liberation? Let's co-create a revolution, one empowered soul at a time.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When was the last time you felt like you were putting everyone else’s needs before your own? Are you exhausted from being the "dependable one," even when you feel like you can’t possibly carry another ounce of weight? If you are feeling the heaviness of that burden, I want you to know two things: You are not alone, and you were never meant to carry this by yourself. With over 15 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have stood by people during their most painful and challenging seasons. My philosophy is simple: You are not broken, and you do not need to be "fixed." Deep down, we all share a basic human need to be deeply accepted and to truly belong. I provide a "soft landing" in a world that often demands we stay guarded. My approach is rooted in Relational-Cultural Theory and a Social Justice framework. I will be casual, warm, and honest (with a slight hint of humor to keep things real and down-to-earth) in our sessions. If you are looking for a place where being strong is not required, and you can just be you, then I would be honored to help you as you navigate this road.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Going through therapy with a therapist can be a very beneficial experience for individuals who want to work through their mental health challenges and improve their overall well-being. Here are some steps you can take to make the most of your therapy experience: - Find the right therapist: The first step is to find a therapist who is a good fit for you. Look for someone who specializes in the type of issues you want to address and whose style matches your preferences. I hope I can be that person for you. - Set clear goals: It's important to have clear goals for therapy so that you and I are on the same page. In our first session, we will discuss your goals and work together to create a treatment plan that outlines the steps you will take to achieve those goals. - Try to be open and honest with me about your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I am here to help you, and I can only do so if I have a clear understanding of what's going on. - Trust the process: Therapy can be a long process, and it's important to trust that the work you're doing with me will pay off in the end. It's also important to be patient and not expect instant results. - Practice self-care: In addition to attending therapy sessions, it's important to practice self-care on a regular basis. This may include activities such as exercise, meditation, or spending time with loved ones. - Keep an open mind: Finally, it's important to keep an open mind and be willing to try new things. As your therapist, I may suggest different techniques or approaches that you haven't tried before, and it's important to be receptive to these suggestions. Remember, therapy is a collaborative process between you and me, so be sure to communicate your thoughts and concerns along the way. With the right mindset and a willingness to work, therapy can be a transformative experience that helps you achieve your goals and improve your quality of life.
