What should a new client know about working with you?

Sometimes we tend to hesitate to engage in mental health counseling. My job is to help create a space where you can share your thoughts and feelings in a safe and accepting environment. Sometimes we struggle with beginning to get the help we need, but it is a great feeling after our first session that one feels empowered and ready to embark on this journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, there will be initial questions that I would ask to help me create an understanding of you and to be able to formulate the case. This means reviewing the presenting problem and help with developing the identified problem. I will be able to give you some feedback after our first visit and to establish a treatment plan that works for you and the identified problem.
