"Hello, I'm Jackie. Life can be overwhelming and tough. Sometimes, we need more than our normal support systems. Sometimes, we need help moving forward and healing. Color, sexuality, gender, societal stereotypes, labels, and trauma can add to one's struggle to navigate through life. Whatever brings you to counseling, it is my honor and goal to be with you through your journey in healing.
My approach is eclectic. I draw from a variety of theories and tailor each session based on the individual client’s needs, personality, and goals. I am fully trained in EMDR, and I offer a safe, non-judgmental, welcoming space for healing. My goal is to walk with you through your tough times, to help and encourage healthier thought processing and choices. This way, you can navigate through life’s roadblocks, have peace, and be the best version of yourself.
I hold a Master of Arts degree and am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. My specializations include working with individuals dealing with stress, gender identity, anger management, PTSD, multicultural and diversity issues, anxiety, trauma, LGBTQIA+ support, antisocial behavior, depression, intimate and romantic relationships, family relationships, and perinatal support including pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum care.
In our sessions, you can expect a compassionate and understanding environment where your unique experiences and challenges are respected and valued. I believe in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship and strive to create a space where you feel heard and supported. Together, we will work on developing strategies that promote healing and growth, allowing you to lead a more fulfilling and balanced life.
Outside of my professional life, I am passionate about fostering inclusivity and understanding in all aspects of life. I value diversity and am committed to supporting individuals from all backgrounds and walks of life.
