Hi there, I'm Jaeren! Just another humble Social Worker superhero. I love working with people, and I always have and always will. I have been in social services for over 20 years now, doing clinical practice for just over half of that time. My approach My style is holistic, empowering, and affirming. What you can expect from our work together: Gaining a stronger sense of self and value, and a greater clarity in intent, motivation, and direction. My focus My work is relational, direct, and educational without being didactic. In each session, we learn more about what makes you "you." In part, meaning your origin story, your strengths, how conditions impact your ability to show up in the world amongst all other life developments. Through parts work, we can put together the pieces of your life, get your house together, so to speak, so you can navigate through your world with confidence and resilience. My journey to mental healthcare My Social Work experience over the past 10+ years has mainly focused on trauma-informed clinical and non-clinical interventions in intensive-outpatient settings. I am most recognized for my deep compassion, empathetic connection, resourcefulness, and professional aptitude as a leader in the field. I have been in supervisory roles in addition to direct service positions, but my heart is more in working 1:1 with clients rather than fretting with the humdrum administrative innerworkings. My goals for you I'm a big believer in person-centered treatment plans to help us track our progress together. My first session with you I recognize that time in therapy is your time. We can go at the pace that you are most comfortable with. I think it's important for the therapeutic alliance to begin by simply getting to know each other and building a solid, trusting rapport.
