Jaimee Chapman, LMSW

Jaimee Chapman, LMSW

Psychotherapist
SC
Growing up in the South, I know there are many issues that are often ignored or dealt with solely within the church. This approach does not always help and can sometimes contribute to the development of trauma. I have real experience working with the queer community and those who have experienced religious trauma. Additionally, I work with individuals facing anxiety, depression, and trauma. I am very passionate about supporting the neurodivergent community, as I am part of this community myself and understand that traditional treatments for ADHD don’t work for everyone. I regularly engage in research and training to better manage my own symptoms and to enhance my therapy skills. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of South Carolina. My approach to therapy tends to be casual and laid back. While I maintain professionalism, I also strive to be friendly and approachable. This style may not be for everyone, but I believe in creating a space where you can be authentically yourself, and I show up authentically as well. I am person-centered, meaning you are at the center of your care. Together, we discuss your treatment goals and what you want to achieve in therapy. You are the one doing the work—I am here to walk alongside you on your journey, providing insight and support along the way.
