“I was very nervous and anxious in my selection of a therapist, it was a hard decision but I do not regret it. Immediately after our first session I felt there was a weight lifted off of my shoulders. I shared with Jaleesa my struggles with childhood and family trauma in addition to my attachment issues and she was able to provide feedback that helped me show myself some grace and see the light at the end of the tunnel, on the first day! I was pleased by how quickly she was able to make connections based on what I shared and provide recognition to my strength and specfic goals to help me overcome. I look forward to working with Jalessa for my healing and empowerment journey. ”

What should a new client know about working with you?

In addition to my focus areas, I enjoy assisting women in educational/career support to help them obtain their personal goals. I also have a keen interest in working with individuals of color who experience stress related to marginalization, acculturation and intergenerational conflict. Last, I have a strong passion for working with mothers through the lifespan of their parenting experience from infertility to wounded relationships with adult children. All stages of maternal mental health and its impacting factors are welcome for exploration.
