Jameica Johnson, LCSW

Psychotherapist
TX
Available nights and weekends. Hi, my name is Jameica, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) located in Texas. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis. I welcome you to my practice and am excited to get to know you better. My therapy style is down to earth, open, accepting, genuine, and supportive. My mission is to empower individuals to live their best lives. During my time as a social worker, I have worked in several environments, including child welfare, acute medical care, and neurological physical rehabilitation. Throughout these different experiences, I found I am most interested in helping people adjust to medical changes, grieve the loss of independence or mobility, support caregivers, and address depression and anxiety. I like to provide psychoeducation through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and increase productivity via motivational interviewing. I am open to assisting individuals from all walks of life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My goal at the end of each session is to make sure that you felt heard, valued, and provided with guidance and instructions of what to work on for the upcoming week. Therapy is a structed practice. Our first session will be a time for us to get to know each out and find out the reason you are seeking counseling. Once the intake is completed, we will develop a treatment plan together and will begin the road to healing. At the end of our time, I hope you find that you are in a more clear mindset and that you have increased your self-image and confidence. My goal is for you to feel you have the skills to tackle future conflicts with confidence, courage, and knowledge.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
