Getting to know James Arnold

Hello and thank you for taking the time to review me and what I may offer you. Making the commitment to change, even something uncomfortable in your life, is a big step, and no matter who you choose to help you navigate this, take a moment to celebrate that step. If you decide to partner with me, I'll be excited to join you on your journey in overcoming a number of life's challenges, including depression, anxiety, anger, relationship difficulties, loss, life changes, or simply striving toward a more positive mental and emotional state of being. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, which has equipped me with a strong foundation to support you effectively. I often utilize the process of analyzing thoughts and how they impact emotions while focusing on the dimensions of wellness that are often neglected and can lead to higher levels of emotional and mental disturbance. Therapy can be a lot of work and heavy at times, but it doesn't need to be overwhelming-especially with the right partner. If you're ready, I'm ready.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Participants should expect to work hard and strive to get the most reward out of our time together. This is an investment and together we will figure out ways to maximize outcomes. We will set goals as a team that are meaningful to you and periodically check in on your progress. During our time together, you may often have take-aways to work on between sessions that we will utilize at our next appointment so that we stay on track to the topics you have determined to be of the most importance.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

James successfully arms you with the tools and concepts necessary to directly dispute the thinking patterns that lead to disturbance in one's life. He delivers them in a witty, constructive way that is easy to build upon and understand, as well as being great with helping you be accountable towards making progress with the concepts he puts forward. I would gladly recommend him to anyone who experiences any kind of difficulty with their thoughts and emotions.
