Jim Loree is a psychotherapist, licensed master social worker, internationally certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor, and nationally certified advanced gambling counselor. He earned his Master's in Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University. Jim has worked in a variety of venues, including MDCH, Albion College, Michigan State University, outpatient and intensive outpatient programs, and private practice for a decade. He has provided supervision for graduate social work interns through the MSU School of Social Work full-time and Hybrid Programs.
Jim has presented continuing education workshops addressing addiction assessment, treatment, and recovery at the local, state, and national levels, in collaboration with the Michigan State University School of Social Work and the Neighborhood Service Organization. He currently treats young adults through seniors for mental health and addiction recovery at Lansing Institute of Behavioral Medicine on an outpatient basis, and he teaches undergraduate psychology courses at Baker College.
