James’ experience includes working with individuals, families, and couples struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, child and adolescent therapy and family counseling in addition to facilitating groups in family treatment programs. For the past few years, James has developed a keen interest in working with the transgender community. James believes that every individual is unique, their own person and treats each person as an individual. Major theoretical approaches he utilizes include Cognitive Behavioral, Narrative, Solution Focused, Person Centered, and MRI therapy.
