Getting to know James Jackson

Hi there, I'm James! I'm James Jackson, LPC C-DBT, and I provide individual, family, and couples therapy. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling from Webster University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland. My therapeutic approach is Client-Centered Therapy, meeting clients where they are and providing an empathetic, safe environment to process life. I am certified in DBT and use it to help most of my clients develop a life worth living by reducing depression, anxiety, and addictive behaviors. I work with clients to improve their functioning in life, especially those struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, emotional regulation, and communication challenges. My communication style is nonjudgmental and tailored to each client’s needs—ranging from showing empathy to assisting them in making assertive statements and setting boundaries with others.

Perfect match. As a disabled veteran, I was matched with a therapist that's an Army vet. He's very aware of the challenges we face as vets and has the tools and resources to help get others in a better place.
