I believe therapy is not something that is done "to you"; rather, it's a collaborative effort where we establish your goals together. I use a trauma informed care approach that asks "What happened to you?" rather than "What's wrong with you?" My approach I use shared decision making when providing care. We will address your concerns together and determine attainable goals tailored to your specific needs in therapy. One of my therapeutic approached is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) where we examine how your thinking affects your behavior. This is an effective, hands on approach to treatment. My focus I work with adults struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma and life transitions. We will work together to develop meaningful, achievable goals in therapy. We help you feel empowered and more in control of your life. My communication style I prioritize clear, open communication. This provides a non-judgmental environment where we can explore issues together. I use active listening and you'll be given the opportunity to reflect with an empathetic partner. If you are working through something challenging, I will be a calm and patient partner. My journey to mental healthcare I became a therapist because I believe in resiliency and the human spirit. I have worked with survivors of significant trauma, was part of their recovery journey, and together we learned that healing is possible. I believe we all have the potential for growth and change.
