I hold a Bachelor's degree from Southwest Baptist University and a Master's degree from Western Illinois University. I provide compassionate communication with a nurturing heart approach. I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. I have been in social services for 35 years and have worked with many diverse populations. I praise you and encourage you to own your decisions. My approach I provide strength-based therapy, offering much positive reward. I assist you in trusting the therapeutic process. My focus I work with all ages, focusing on anxiety (control issues), depression (the battle within), and anger (a beautiful emotion that tells you something has to change). My communication style I am soft-spoken, a truth teller, and have a no-holds-barred approach. My journey to mental healthcare If it weren't for my academic advisor during my undergraduate studies, I wouldn't have earned my degree. My career fell into my life journey, and I love it. I enjoy providing suggestions that clients can choose to respond to positively or negatively. It is their choice.
