Hello, I'm Jami Ivey. I'm excited to meet you and embark on this journey together. Therapy is a collaborative process, and my goal is to support you in achieving your therapy goals, one step at a time. I work with clients facing a variety of challenges, including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, PTSD, and grief. Whether you're an adult or an adolescent, we all encounter stressors and life changes that can be overwhelming. Talking with someone can provide the support, insight, and guidance needed to navigate these difficult times. I particularly enjoy working with individuals who are goal-oriented and committed to bettering themselves. My therapeutic approach is eclectic, meaning I tailor my methods to meet your unique needs. The Person-Centered Approach is a cornerstone of my practice, ensuring that you feel heard and valued. I also frequently utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Trauma-Informed Care, Insight-Oriented Therapy, and Behavior Modifications. It's common for more than one approach to be used in our sessions, depending on what best suits your situation. I hold a bachelor's degree from Murray State University and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville. With over 23 years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and nearly 30 years in the field, I've had the privilege of working with people of all ages in various therapeutic settings. After living in Kentucky for about 20 years, I moved back to Tennessee a decade ago and am licensed in both states. Since returning to Tennessee, I've focused on my private practice and partnered with primary care clinics in Northwest Tennessee to integrate physical and mental health care. In recent years, I've also expanded my Telehealth capabilities to reach more clients.
