Getting to know Jamie Bunsis

The goal with all of my clients is to establish a therapeutic relationship built on trust and respect. I focus on addressing each client's individual needs while helping them increase healthy coping skills and reduce negative symptoms. For the past ten years, I worked as a special education teacher, supporting both children and families. I hold a Master's degree in Childhood Education/Special Education from LIU Post, which gives me unique insight as a therapist. Additionally, I earned a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Hofstra University and a Bachelor's degree from the University at Albany, further enhancing my ability to provide comprehensive care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I can help clients by establishing a collaborative environment in which they feel comfortable. I am an excellent listener and I thoroughly enjoy helping people. My main objective is to ensure my clients have a safe and confidential place to express themselves. As a therapeutic team, you and I will work together in order to achieve your goals.
