Jamie Matthews, LPCC

Psychotherapist
OH
My name is Jamie Matthews, and I have been working as a counselor since 2007. I truly enjoy helping people reach their treatment goals. I believe counseling is about change and that people can change any behavior that is not working in their lives. I earned my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University, which laid the foundation for my career. I began working in community mental health, where I gained extensive experience helping individuals with severe and persistent mental illness manage symptoms such as hallucinations, delusions, severe depression, and severe anxiety. From 2007 to 2015, I primarily conducted group counseling sessions, along with some individual counseling, using evidence-based practices. Between 2015 and 2021, I worked as an Outpatient Therapist, supporting children, adults, and families in a community mental health setting. Since 2021, I have operated my own private practice, mainly providing telehealth services. I have really enjoyed the ability to reach clients throughout Ohio and Florida. I continue to use CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, and other techniques to assist my clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
