What should a new client know about working with you?

Hi my name is Jamie Pimentel and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist. This is where your mind can finally exhale. specialize in treating OCD, Anxiety and Trauma. Do you ever feel like your brain just won’t turn off? I help adults in their 20s, 30s, and 40s who are tired of living in constant overdrive — overthinking every decision, feeling trapped in anxiety, or stuck in the exhausting loop of OCD. Life can feel like one long to-do list of mental what-ifs, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. Sometimes anxiety runs deeper rooted in experiences your body and mind are still carrying. I also specialize in helping adults heal from past trauma, and emotional overwhelm that continue to shape how they feel.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I know starting therapy—especially for OCD or anxiety—can feel intimidating. In our first session, my focus is on creating a space where you feel safe, understood, and not judged. We’ll begin with a casual conversation about what brought you here and what’s been weighing on you lately. You don’t have to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say—my job is to guide the conversation and help you put your thoughts into words. I’ll ask questions to get a better understanding of your experiences, symptoms, and goals. We might talk about what anxiety, trauma or OCD looks like for you day-to-day, how it’s affecting your life, and what you’ve already tried to cope. You can expect therapy to move at your own pace, in a safe and compassionate space. This is a judgment-free zone where you can share openly about your fears, experiences, and pain without worry of shame or misunderstanding. I understand the tricky patterns of anxiety and OCD, and I also hold space for the impact of trauma, honoring your story and your body’s wisdom. In this space, you’re seen for who you truly are, not who OCD, anxiety, or past pain try to convince you to be.
