Getting to know Jane Kearney

My name is Jane Kearney, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and the owner of UROSE Mental Health Services in Georgia, providing therapy in-person and via virtual telehealth for women and children ages 10-18. I earned my Master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis. I work with children in the Coweta County School system who face a variety of mental health challenges. As a counselor, I have also worked in the Tennessee prison system with women, providing life and anger management skills to help them transition from mentally and physically abusive relationships. Additionally, I counsel women experiencing the aftereffects of divorce, such as anger, depression, anxiety, and difficulties adjusting from being married for years to becoming single in society.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Are you having anxiety attacks, depression, or fear of not knowing how to move forward with your life. Have you been hit with grief and force a smile on your face, but inside you're sad and feeling lost. I am here to help shed light on your pain, so you can find balance and peace in your life. I understand, I am here to provide skills and techniques to help overcome the pain and hurt. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focus, EMDR, and Mindfullness to address each of my clients issues and build a therapeutic rapport.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

All clients will experience a safe place to express their emotions, feelings, and thoughts to formulate a diagnosis. Together, we will create a treatment plan, goals, and interventions to target each diagonsis. We practice self talk, self-care, setting boundaries, and embracing the self.
