Psychotherapist
AZ
Hi there, I'm Jane! Hi, I'm Jane Miclon. I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Arizona with 30 years of experience. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Connecticut. My approach to therapy is to start where the client is, using a very compassionate, empathetic, and knowledgeable style. My approach I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, and client-focused therapy. My focus I have worked with teens, adults, and families for years. I enjoy working with adults trying to find success in careers and relationships and helping to build a healthy lifestyle using an integrative approach, including exercise, healthy eating, and habits. My communication style I am an empathetic, compassionate listener who will guide you toward achieving your therapy goals. I use my sense of humor and kindness to assist you in restructuring your thoughts in a healthier fashion. My journey to mental healthcare I knew I wanted to be a therapist since I was in 8th grade. I always had a good listening style, curiosity about human behavior, and a lot of insight into what is happening around me. I have had a huge interest in how to grow as a person and how our decisions are influenced by our past. My goals for you I obtain history from each client, discuss what is holding them back from achieving their goals, and begin to connect old patterns of behavior and trauma history to present issues to help identify areas to work on. My first session with you We will talk about your concerns, explore your earlier years, discuss goals, and how we will work together so you feel comfortable, more relaxed, and confident in our working relationship.
