Getting to know Jane Rekas
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience helping adults navigate mental health challenges, especially around ADHD, complex trauma, mood disorders, and dissociative and personality disorders. I provide direct, compassionate support for people dealing with anxiety, depression, C-PTSD, and bipolar disorder.
I have an interest in neurodivergent experiences, particularly ADHD across the lifespan and genders. I offer practical, insight-based strategies for executive function challenges, emotional dysregulation, and rejection sensitivity. My trauma work—especially with complex PTSD, borderline personality disorder, and dissociative disorders—is grounded in a thoughtful, integrative approach tailored to each person’s unique life history and inner world.
I draw from a range of evidence-based therapies including CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I also use targeted tools for sleep issues (CBT-I), obsessive-compulsive symptoms (ERP), and trauma processing. In addition to these approaches, I have a growing interest in energy psychology and how subtle energy systems may support emotional healing. I also recognize how physical and medical conditions impact mental health, and I support client’s improving the mind-body connection.
I'm an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider with specialized training in supporting children, adults, women, and couples with ADHD. I’ve also completed training in EMDR, Polyvagal Theory, and the treatment of dissociation and Dissociative Identity Disorder. I’m a Certified Hypnotist, Certified Sports Hypnotist, and Hypnotension Provider, with additional training in smoking cessation and evidence-based treatment for eating disorders. Over the years, I’ve integrated many approaches into my work, including Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Schema Therapy.
