Janet Patricia Chila is a licensed mental health counselor who has been providing mental health services for the last twenty years. Ms. Chila is a change agent who helps children, adolescents, and families. She specializes in implementing behavior modification interventions with children and their families, conflict resolution, mind-body approaches, and mental disorders in general. In addition, she utilizes a cross-cultural and client-centered approach tailored to meet the client's needs and expectations. Ms. Chila believes that life challenges are there for a reason, and it is up to us to discover the meaning or lesson to be learned.
Ms. Chila graduated from Lincoln University, Lincoln, Pennsylvania, in 1989, where she obtained a master's degree in human services. At Lincoln University, her dissertation research was conducted with Latino women victims of domestic violence in the Lehigh Valley. She also attended Lehigh University from 1991 to 1993, where she conducted a research study with Latino women living with HIV. Ms. Chila holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Lehigh University.
Ms. Chila possesses a diversified clinical and administrative professional portfolio. She enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with family and friends, and contributing to the development of mentally healthy communities.
