My name is Janet Justice and I am a licensed clinical social worker in Alabama ( 4958C-S), Florida (SW19810), and Georgia (CSW008150). My approach to therapy is an eclectic approach including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

My most common theoretical approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
My focus
I enjoy working with teens, young adults, couples, older adults, and families. I treat anxiety, depression, life coaching/ management, weight loss, relationship issues, and substance abuse.
My communication style
I feel the best approach when first meeting a new client is to get to know the client as a person and to allow clients to ask me questions to get to know me as well. After rapport is built then I like to ask two questions, (1. What brings you to seek therapy, and 2. What are your goals for therapy). This helps me to assist the client in establishing attainable goals that are most likely to have a positive outcome. I also like to laugh and joke but will also shed a tear with you.
My journey to mental healthcare
My journey to become a therapist was by accident in college. I started off as a Criminal Justice major then decided that I liked helping people more so I switched to Social Work.
My goals for you
I allow the client to identify goals and then assist them with managing the goals to be most successful.
My first session with you
Clients should expect a lot of questions for me to get to know them. Some questions will be random and some will be specific to the purpose the client is seeking therapy for.
