Getting to know Janet Williams

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who has worked in the field for over 20 years. I have counseled teens at a therapeutic day school for 4 years and went on to work in private practice. I have also taught Yin (relaxation) yoga for over 30 years.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a client centered therapist who believes in a mind, body, spirit approach. I believe we feel a disconnect when either our mind, our body or spirit is suffering or being neglected. I am certified in Rapid Resolution Therapy which is a form of clinical hypnosis used to treat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and help people who feel stuck. I have also taught Yin (relaxation) yoga for over 30 years.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

As a licensed clinical, professional counselor I listen to my clients as they share their stories and goals. I then put a treatment plan in place that will give the client tools to make positive changes in order for them to go onto to lead a much happier and purpose driven life. I hope that my diverse career background makes me easily relatable as the client/counselor relationship is extremely important to me. My primary goal is to help the client feel safe, supported and heard as they journey toward healing.
