Janica Pilcher, LPC Associate

Psychotherapist
TX
Janica Pilcher is supervised by Lauren Jones, LPC. At times, life is difficult and can bring about many obstacles. My aim is to establish a warm and supportive environment where you can process your thoughts and feelings related to those stressors. I will create a safe space infused with respect and compassion so you know that healing is possible under the right conditions, including being with someone who truly cares, listens, and sees you. I serve children and adolescents navigating identity and self-esteem challenges along with other school-related issues, as well as parents and families working through transitions and conflicts. I also work with adults dealing with stress and anxiety, depression, people-pleasing tendencies, grief, relationship issues, or those experiencing trauma. With a commitment to fostering resilience and personal growth, I integrate a variety of therapeutic practices tailored to each client's unique journey. Whether it's reframing negative thoughts and creating healthier behaviors through CBT, encouraging practices to promote present-moment awareness through Mindfulness, goal-setting and positive change through a Solution-Focused approach, or creating purpose and meaning in your life through Faith-Based integration, we will work together to find hope and healing in your journey. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Alabama A&M University, which has equipped me with a strong foundation to support clients effectively. Our practice, Neema Counseling, is a Christian Counseling practice founded with a vision to help those who are hurting. “Neema” is the Swahili word for “Grace.” It is our desire that all clients, regardless of their faith or background, experience the Neema Counseling office as a place filled with grace that leads to hope and healing.
