Psychotherapist
AZ
Hi there, I'm Janice! Having faced my own battles with addiction and the inner darkness that can come with it, I deeply understand how isolating and overwhelming it can feel to struggle in silence. That’s why I have so much respect for anyone who takes that incredibly brave first step of reaching out for help, because often, asking is the hardest part. So, welcome. You’ve already shown courage by being here, and I’m honored to walk alongside you as we begin this work together. I believe that with determination and the right support, meaningful change is always possible. My approach My approach to treatment is eclectic and grounded in the belief that therapy should be as unique as the individual or couple sitting across from me. I draw from a wide range of evidence-based modalities to meet the specific needs, values, and goals of each client. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness-based practices. When working with couples, I incorporate the Gottman Method to improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen emotional connection. I also place strong emphasis on creating a safe, collaborative space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to make meaningful change. Whether addressing trauma, navigating life transitions, managing addiction, or improving relationships, I tailor my interventions to ensure they are practical, compassionate, and aligned with the client’s personal journey. My focus My ideal clients are individuals or couples who are simply in need of support, regardless of their background, presenting issues, or stage in life. I welcome people facing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, or a general sense of feeling stuck.
