Getting to know Janielle Fluke

Janielle Fluke works with adults and children as young as six, specializing in anxiety, panic disorders, codependency, relationships, and personal development. Her natural interest in helping others ultimately led to a career in psychology. Janielle earned her Bachelor's degree from San Diego State University and holds a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Phoenix. She has worked at a psychiatric hospital, substance use facilities, private practice, and K-12 virtual schools.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My passion for and genuine interest in all things related to psychology and healing keep me learning and growing. I utilize a holistic approach to mental wellness, addressing all aspects of the self: Social, emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual. My ultimate goal is to help guide you on your own journey to healing. I am trained in DBT and mindfulness and currently working toward EMDR certification and yoga therapy.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first communication will be an intake session, which is fairly structured. You will have plenty of time to share your needs and we will evaluate if it is a good fit. From there, we will create a treatment plan that includes goals for therapy and the estimated time to complete goals. Homework is given from time to time with weekly check-ins on progress and growth. I aim to be honest in a warm, caring way to help clients gain insight.
