Janna Perez, MS

Psychotherapist
TX
My name is Janna Perez, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with a background in visual and graphic arts. I earned my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston, Clear Lake. If you seek a therapist who provides a judgment-free, compassionate, and safe environment with a holistic, person-centered, strength-based, and evidence-based approach, we may be a good fit for your healing journey! Building trust is essential in therapy, and feeling safe allows you to engage in discussions that may have been too difficult before, preventing your healing from moving forward. I will meet you where you are and hope to bring mental clarity, guidance, and wellness as we journey together. I have specialized training in Positive Parenting Program, domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, childhood trauma, family violence, emotional/psychological abuse, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief/loss/bereavement, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and inpatient psychiatric mental health care. While working on your mental health, I support you in collaborating on treatment planning and goal setting, and in teaching coping skills to practice in session and implement in real life. This empowers you to gain confidence to tackle your unique struggles. You will also be encouraged to discover community resources to build a strong support system, an essential part of healing. Challenging you to shift perspectives or change behaviors might also be part of therapy. There is no time limit on healing. We all heal differently and need different tools and support as we push through what may feel like a never-ending cycle. Let me help you break that cycle and start a new journey-one where you feel hopeful, empowered, confident, and always striving to be your best self.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services.
