Counseling is an opportunity to change and grow in the midst of the difficulties and struggles of life. Life is full of disappointments and unexpected complications. Therapy provides another voice to encourage, guide, and strengthen you in moving forward in life and living. As a Christian counselor, my approach is grounded in a Biblical worldview. I believe healing and growth can occur when faith is integrated into the counseling process. I tailor therapy to individual needs, values, and goals. When desired, I incorporate the Bible, scripture, and prayer as a source of wisdom, comfort, and direction. My focus is to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where faith can be explored and strengthened with emotional and personal growth. Focusing, as you are able, on your feelings and emotional pain provides time to heal and discover new hope and strength to stand in confidence and courage. My communication style is warm, thoughtful, and direct. I value open and honest conversation and strive to listen carefully, offer encouragement, and provide direct guidance, aligning with sound clinical principles and Biblical truth. Therapy is a collaborative process where you are met with compassion, grace, and understanding. In my own journey and need for therapy, I was met with a Christian understanding and grace. The atmosphere was safe and allowed me to verbalize my thoughts, fears, feelings, and emotions. My needs were met and supported with creative tools related to my own personal trauma and emotional pain. I was able to find new strength and hope for the future. Together, we will clarify your goals and view counseling as a journey rather than a quick fix. Along the way, we explore life experiences, patterns, and challenges while focusing on practical tools and emotional and spiritual insight supporting healing, resilience, and growth.
