Getting to know Jared Scovill

My ideal client is excited to collaborate with me and is hungry to address issues they have. They enjoy the idea of working with someone who is hungry to improve their practice and who truly wants to understand the clients they work with. A full understanding of what might be going on is not required, as I enjoy the process of getting to the meat of an issue with a client together. I believe this creates greater change in a person as you are working through it with a team.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I identify as Queer and a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, so I bring a level of understanding that isn't seen much in therapy. This aspect of my life has led me to yearn for a deeper understanding of the people around me. This understanding enables me to take a step back and view scenarios from multiple perspectives.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I am excited and hungry to work with new clients. I am not burdened by burnout, stubbornness, nor do modalities limit me. I want to work with clients and help them take control of their lives. I want to be a support to my clients in the best and most professional way possible. If you are looking for a fresh outlook on therapy, I am the therapist for you.
