Hi there, I'm Jarred! My name is Jarred Bauer, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Indiana with over 10 years of clinical experience. I earned my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Huntington University. I believe counseling is a partnership where I come alongside others to understand their needs while appreciating their strengths. Taking that next step with a counselor takes courage, and I would be honored to support you on that journey. My approach I use an integrative and holistic approach with training in trauma-informed care. I believe in being trauma responsive, helping clients heal and transform their story. The main theoretical approaches I use are person-centered, cognitive and dialectical behavior therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. My focus I have experience helping clients with spiritual development, stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, grief and loss, struggles with forgiveness, anger management, marriage, family, and relationships. My communication style My therapeutic style is calm, non-judgmental, and compassionate. I work with clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. My goals for you I work collaboratively with clients to define what they want to accomplish. I often use SMART Goals as a template to identify goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely. My first session with you The first session is about building an initial connection and helping me understand where to go from there. This starts by building trust and getting comfortable with therapy. Each person is different, so I listen first to know what will work best for you moving forward.
