What should a new client know about working with you?

I want my clients to know that you do not have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. I believe change happens through trust, understanding, and collaboration. I will meet you where you are without judgment and take the time to understand your experiences, strengths, challenges, and goals. Together, we will identify what works best for you and focus on realistic steps toward positive change. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout your journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach begins with getting to know you, not just your substance use, but your experiences, strengths, concerns, and personal goals. We will work together to identify what brought you to counseling and what you would like to change. Throughout treatment, I use a collaborative, person-centered approach. We will develop individualized goals, explore patterns and triggers, build healthy coping strategies, and work toward changes that feel realistic and meaningful to you. Progress is not about perfection; it is about understanding yourself, building on your strengths, and taking steps toward the life you want. As we continue working together, we will regularly review your progress and adjust treatment as your needs and goals change. My role is to support, guide, and empower you while you remain an active participant in your recovery.
