Are you noticing that life has been difficult to cope with issues related to anxiety, panic attacks, or major life transitions? Has there been a past or recent trauma that has you feeling stuck? Are you having a difficult time navigating relationship issues? I specialize in helping you navigate these particular struggles and am committed to walking side by side with you on your journey. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Arizona State University and a Bachelor's degree from San Diego State University, which have equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support you effectively.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a client centered therapist, meaning I believe you are the expert of your own life, and I am also here as a guide and support to help work toward your personalized goals in a safe, non-judgemental space.With EMDR therapy and other trauma informed therapies, we can work together to learn skills to manage your anxiety and limiting beliefs, and do the work to heal trauma and experience more hope and joy in life. As a Filipino American, trauma informed, and LGBTQ+ affirming therapist, I am sincere about practicing cultural humility and mindfulness of one’s intersecting identities. I am an affirming and Christian mental health therapist who provides an option to integrate your faith and spiritual beliefs in our work together. To clarify, all of my services are open to all people. I aim to treat you with respect and dignity and work with your strengths towards your goals regardless of religion you may or may not identify with. As a licensed mental health professional, I welcome and celebrate all faiths and belief systems and will never impose my own spiritual practices on you as this is unethical. I do not try to change your identity, but rather aim to help you find alignment across all parts of what makes you who you are! There is a special place in my heart for being able to integrate faith and spirituality while still providing ethical,professional, and affirming counseling with clients.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

While working together, I aim to help you: -Learn and implement skills to manage your anxious feelings and thoughts -Learn how to access feeling more grounded and connected with yourself, others, and in life -Connect with your emotions and identify and express your needs to recover from people pleasing tendencies -Get to the root of trauma using EMDR and other evidence based therapies to heal, get unstuck from the past -Find freedom from limiting beliefs, heal childhood wounds, and to feel equipped and confident in your ability to regulate your emotional and physical reactions in life. -Have a more compassionate relationship with yourself and experience shame resiliency -Improve your work life balance, reconnecting with things that bring you more joy -Experience healthier and more fulfilling relationship with others by setting boundaries, becoming more assertive, and communicating more effectively.
