What should a new client know about working with you?

A new client should know that working with me is a collaborative, supportive, and individualized experience. I work with adolescents, college students, and adults from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and life experiences, and I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, respected, and empowered. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices while remaining flexible and tailored to your unique goals, whether you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, race-related stress, or personal growth. I take a holistic view of wellness, recognizing the strong connection between mind and body. As a psychologist, author, and certified yoga instructor, I often integrate mindfulness and self-soothing practices to support emotional regulation, resilience, and optimal performance. I also have extensive experience working with creatives, athletes, professionals, and organizations, helping individuals manage stress, build confidence, and align their actions with their values.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process begins with developing a clear understanding of your background, current concerns, and goals for therapy. Together, we identify what you would like to work on and what success in therapy looks like for you. I use evidence-based assessments and therapeutic approaches, adapting them to best fit your needs, strengths, and life context. As therapy progresses, we focus on building practical skills to manage stress, improve emotional awareness, and support growth and performance. This may include mindfulness practices, values-based work, cognitive and behavioral strategies, and mind–body techniques drawn from yoga and self-soothing approaches such as EnterTraining. Throughout therapy, we regularly check in on progress and adjust our work as needed, with the goal of helping you feel more balanced, empowered, and equipped to navigate challenges both in and outside of therapy.
