What is your typical process for working with clients?

Starting therapy is a brave and empowering decision, and I’m honored to support you in this journey. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), my approach is compassionate, client-centered, and rooted in evidence-based practices. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, or simply seeking deeper self-understanding, my goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you feel heard, valued, and equipped to grow. Our work together begins with an initial intake session. This is a time for us to get to know each other and for me to understand what brings you to therapy. During this first meeting, we’ll explore your current concerns, personal history, strengths, and goals. I may ask about different areas of your life—such as your relationships, work, health, and past experiences—to get a holistic view of who you are. This session typically lasts 60 to 90 minutes and sets the foundation for our therapeutic relationship. After the intake, we’ll collaborate on a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs and goals. This plan will guide our sessions and may evolve over time as your circumstances change or as you make progress. I often integrate approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, solution-focused strategies, and strengths-based techniques to help you build insight, develop coping skills, and feel more empowered in your daily life. Once we've established your treatment goals, we’ll decide together on the frequency of sessions. Many clients begin with weekly sessions to build consistency and trust, then transition to biweekly or monthly as they feel more confident and supported. The pace is always flexible and based on what works best for you.
