You may be doing everything you're supposed to do, keeping up with responsibilities, showing up for others, and managing daily life, while privately feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or exhausted. Anxiety, depression, difficult experiences, and persistent self-criticism can affect how you see yourself, relate to others, and respond to challenges. Sometimes the hardest part is understanding why certain feelings or patterns continue, even when you're trying to move forward. I'm Jasmine Wilson, LPC, and I work with adolescents and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, life transitions, and concerns related to identity and self-worth. My clinical approach is person-centered and trauma-informed, recognizing that emotional difficulties do not develop in isolation. Our experiences, relationships, environments, and ways of coping all influence how we understand ourselves and respond to the world. My style is warm, collaborative, and direct. I believe therapy should offer more than a place to talk about what's difficult. It's an opportunity to understand yourself more fully, recognize patterns that may no longer serve you, and develop practical ways to approach emotions, relationships, and everyday challenges differently. I provide psychotherapy through Stonebridge Psychological Group under the clinical supervision of Dr. Stephen W. Bryant, PsyD, LCPC. I approach each therapeutic relationship with curiosity, compassion, and respect for the individual's experiences, with an emphasis on understanding what you need and whether working together is the right fit.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You don't need to arrive at therapy knowing exactly what to say. You might recognize that you're harder on yourself than you want to be, that stress has changed how you respond to people, or that experiences from the past continue to affect your life today. We can begin with what you're noticing, even if you haven't made sense of it yet. My style is warm, collaborative, and direct. I listen carefully, but I also ask questions, offer observations, and help you look at patterns that may be difficult to recognize on your own. I believe therapy should provide room for reflection while also helping you find practical ways to respond differently outside our sessions. You can expect to have an active voice in our work. We'll pay attention to what feels helpful, where things become difficult, and what you need as we move forward. You won't be expected to share everything at once or approach therapy in a particular way.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first appointment is an opportunity to understand what's been happening in your life and what led you to seek therapy. We'll talk about your current concerns, relevant experiences, how you've been managing difficulties, and what you hope might change. I'll also ask about your strengths, relationships, and what has or hasn't been helpful in the past. As we continue, we'll identify patterns that may be contributing to distress and consider ways to approach them differently. Depending on your needs, our work may involve understanding the effects of trauma, improving emotional regulation, examining self-critical thoughts, or developing practical skills for managing stress and relationships. Therapy is a collaborative process. We'll revisit your goals, consider what's changing, and adjust our focus when necessary. I want our sessions to feel purposeful without becoming so structured that we lose sight of what's important to you.
