Getting to know Jason Black

It's time for a change. If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, frustrated, or held back by self-doubt, perfectionism, ADHD-related challenges, or imposter syndrome, know that you do not have to keep living this way. Change is possible, and you don't have to figure it out on your own. The life you want is often closer than it feels, and taking the first step can make all the difference. I help leaders, athletes, and performers develop greater self-confidence, resilience, and self-awareness so they can perform at their best. Whether your goals involve improving your career, strengthening relationships, enhancing performance, becoming a more effective leader, or simply feeling more fulfilled in everyday life, I am passionate about helping people overcome the obstacles that stand in their way. My approach combines more than 20 years of experience in military mental health with a specialization in sport and performance psychology. This unique background allows me to understand challenges from multiple perspectives and tailor strategies to your specific needs. I recognize that success is not just about working hard; it is about understanding yourself, leveraging your strengths, and developing the skills necessary to thrive under pressure. Together, we will identify what is holding you back, build on what is already working, and create a practical plan to help you move forward with confidence. My goal is to provide a supportive, challenging, and results-oriented environment where you can develop the tools needed to create meaningful and lasting change. You have already taken an important step by exploring your options. The next step is deciding that your growth, well-being, and future are worth investing in. I invite you to take that step today by scheduling an appointment and beginning to build the life you want to live.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During the first session, we will get to know each other and the core issues causing difficulties in your life or areas of your leadership or sport performance that you want to improve upon. Together we will identify goals and develop a plan to achieve those goals. During the following sessions we will work to achieve those goals. Over time, we will develop a deeper understanding of who you really are and what you really want. We can pull at these threads and see where they lead us at a pace at which you are comfortable. You dictate that pace. Always. This type of work can really help you gain a greater perspective on your life and according to Dr. Carl Jung, help you “outgrow your problems”.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
