What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a practical and goal-oriented form of psychotherapy. I work collaboratively with clients to identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to their difficulties. My goal is to empower you with effective coping strategies and skills to manage your emotions, solve problems, and make lasting positive changes in your life. I believe in a structured yet flexible process, where we work together to understand the connections between your thoughts, feelings, and actions to achieve your specific goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

You will learn and practice specific Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to manage challenging emotions, reduce symptoms of anxiety or depression, and cope with stress. These are skills you can use immediately and for the rest of your life. For clients from underrepresented backgrounds, we will explore your challenges within the context of your unique cultural experiences, including acculturative stress, providing a space for validation and strategies that are relevant and respectful to your identity.
