Psychotherapist
CA
As a board-certified couples and family therapist with a Master's in Marriage and Family Counseling from Alliant International University, I believe positively changing our relationship to our thoughts and feelings is key to happiness and stability in life. Seeking help can be one of the hardest parts, so congratulations on taking that step! I've been practicing for 11 years, helping clients struggling with anxiety and depression, as well as relationship, communication, and intimacy concerns. Therapy is a collaborative experience, and my clients' knowledge of themselves is central to the work we do together. I practice a modality of therapy called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT focuses on increasing psychological flexibility through mindfulness and direct contact with our core values. Through the use of humor, metaphor, and practical exercises, I help clients gain insight into what matters to them, what shows up and gets in the way, and how to live a more values-oriented life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe that psychological flexibility is the key to change. The ability to get unhooked from our constant tug-of-war with out thoughts and feelings is grounded in mindfulness, self-compassion, and gratitude. We have the capacity to rewrite unworkable stories about ourself and the world in order to more closely connect with our core values and move towards who and what is important to us. My practice will always be a welcoming space for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ clients. I believe that celebrating diverse lived experiences enhances us as individuals, and as a society. I am a kink-friendly therapist who understands that consent, open communication, and safety are critical for fulfilling intimacy. I'm excited to work with you to help you meet your goals.
