Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and comfortable being yourself. I believe that every person has strengths that can be built upon, even during life’s most challenging moments. My approach is integrative, primarily drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while incorporating person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed perspectives. I work collaboratively with clients to explore how thoughts, emotions, and experiences interact, and to support meaningful, sustainable change.

Getting to know Jaymee Harper

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and comfortable being yourself. I believe that every person has strengths that can be built upon, even during life’s most challenging moments. My approach is integrative, primarily drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while incorporating person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed perspectives. I work collaboratively with clients to explore how thoughts, emotions, and experiences interact, and to support meaningful, sustainable change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they are met exactly where they are. I tailor treatment to each person’s unique needs and goals—there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to therapy. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, grief, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, identity concerns, and self-worth issues. I also place strong value on understanding each client’s cultural background, family system, and lived experience as essential parts of the healing process.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first sessions focus on getting to know you- what brings you to therapy, what challenges you’re facing, and what you hope to change or better understand. This is also a space for you to ask questions and get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit. From there, we’ll identify goals and begin building practical tools and coping strategies while also exploring deeper patterns that may be contributing to current difficulties. Sessions are collaborative and paced according to your comfort, with an emphasis on both insight and actionable support.
