Getting to know Jayne Tingley

Have you experienced something frightening that you can’t stop thinking about, no matter how hard you try? Do you struggle with anxiety, sadness, difficulty concentrating, or grief? Are you facing behavioral concerns with your child? I would love the opportunity to help you and/or your child. I understand how hard it is to ask for help and take the time to listen to what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we create a plan to accomplish those goals. I will work with you where you are. I take an eclectic approach, identifying the best modality for each client, including the use of creative arts and music alongside more traditional methods. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Spring Arbor University, which informs my compassionate and flexible approach to care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Making your first appointment takes a great deal of courage. As we begin to dive deeper into why you came to counseling. We may learn strategies to help you cope with trauma, grief or other symptoms related to your mental health. You will learn interpersonal skills to better understand yourself and why you respond to different situations.
