“I wish I could select more things that stand out. But one thing I don’t see as an option is good listener. It is a true skill to listen and make the someone feel heard. Sometimes that’s all you need.”

Getting to know Jazlyn Menees

I am a licensed professional counselor with a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Messiah University. I have experience working with families, adults, and couples. My expertise is in supporting clients struggling with relational issues, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. I believe that clients are the experts of their own lives and use an integrative approach to therapy, emphasizing strength-based, solution-focused, and client-centered methods. I work with clients to explore family and individual characteristics and dynamics to gain perspective and self-awareness. I also believe in empathetically listening and collaborating to tackle life's challenges together, fostering a healthier way of living.

What should a new client know about working with you?

The first session will be a lot of gathering information about your past and history. Moving forward past the first session I like to discuss family and how it relates to the individual at times. My style is very relational and I work collaboratively with the client. Working collaboratively we will work on building coping skills, learning to communicate boundaries, learning to communicate in relationships effectively and learn to be the best version of yourself.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
