Getting to know Jazmin Williams

I’m so glad you’re here. I truly believe therapy works best when it feels safe, comfortable, and real. My approach is rooted in kindness, compassion, and authenticity. I know it takes courage to open up, so I meet you where you are, at your pace. Once we’ve built trust, we can start to unpack what’s on your mind and heart together. I aim to create a space that feels light and supportive, while holding room for the tough stuff when you’re ready. I keep sessions genuine and sprinkle in humor when it’s welcome—because healing can be meaningful and still feel human and approachable. I have a personal understanding of the unique experiences and pressures that come with navigating the world while holding space for our culture, identity, and wellness. I’m passionate about working with children, adolescents, young adults, and individuals from BIPOC communities. Representation and culturally sensitive care matter deeply to me, and I strive to create a space where you feel fully seen, heard, and valued for who you are and where you come from. I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from NYU Steinhardt, East Building, equipping me with the knowledge and skills to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care. In our work, we’ll explore challenges like anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, or feeling stuck, and find practical, strength-based ways to support your growth. I’ll be honest, encouraging, and supportive, while gently challenging you when needed, because I believe in your ability to grow, feel confident, and move toward the life you deserve. When I’m not in session, I’m usually hanging out with my mini-Goldendoodle, Milo, trying new foods, or catching up with family. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and you don’t have to face life’s hard moments alone. I’m here to walk alongside you, cheer you on, and help you reconnect with your strength, confidence, and resilience.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with me is collaborative, supportive, and empowering. I meet you where you are, creating a safe, nonjudgmental space to show up as your full self. We’ll explore your challenges, strengths, and goals at your pace, keeping things light when possible and honest when needed. I believe therapy should feel like a conversation with someone in your corner, offering empathy, encouragement, and the occasional gentle push to help you grow. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling heard, supported, and more confident in your ability to navigate life’s ups and downs.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Feeling safe, supported, and understood is where real change begins and that’s exactly what I aim to create for you. I’m here to cheer you on, hold space for the hard stuff, and challenge you when you’re ready. I like to keep our sessions light, fun, and authentic while always meeting you where you are. We’ll take our time building trust, and when the moment feels right, we’ll dig a little deeper together at your pace. I’ll be honest and direct with you, but in a way that’s kind, uplifting, and genuine. This is your space to be yourself, and I’m here to help you grow, build confidence, and become the strong, resilient version of yourself you’re meant to be.
