Getting to know Jazmine Brown

The provider is a “Licensed Social Worker" and is currently working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. Their current employer is "Sol Health". I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who supports young adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I specialize in working with Black, Indigenous, and People of Color clients but welcome those from all walks of life and provide a culturally responsive space where you can show up as yourself without code switching or over explaining. My approach is trauma informed and practical, focused on helping you feel more grounded, build healthy coping skills, and move through what is weighing you down.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You can expect me to be real with you and still respectful. I’m warm and supportive, but I’m not going to just nod and let you stay stuck. I’ll ask direct questions, point out patterns, and help you connect the dots so we can get to the root of what’s going on. Sessions are a mix of trauma informed care and practical tools, so you leave with something you can actually use, not just a good talk. I move at your pace, but I will gently challenge you when it’s needed. Most importantly, I create a space where you can show up as your full self, no code switching, no judgment, and no pressure to have it all together.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Usually we start with you telling me what’s been going on and what made you reach out right now. I’ll ask a few questions to get the full picture, but it’s not a checklist vibe. It’s more like us connecting the dots together, figuring out what’s stressing you, what’s triggering you, and what you’ve been carrying for a long time. After that, sessions are mostly talk therapy, but it’s not just talking in circles. We’ll look at patterns, your relationships, your emotions, and how trauma or past experiences might still be showing up. I’ll also give you practical tools you can use between sessions, like grounding, coping skills, boundary work, and ways to calm your nervous system when life is lifing. Some days we’ll process deeper stuff, some days we’ll focus on what you need to get through the week. It’s always collaborative and we move at a pace that feels safe, but still honest.
