I have a diverse background that guides my therapeutic approach. Frameworks like Bowen Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered, and Faith-based therapy all inform the care I provide. I also incorporate evidence-based and creative techniques tailored to my clients' interests and therapeutic goals. I have worked with couples, individuals, and adolescents. For the past two years, I have facilitated substance abuse groups as well as groups for men with a history of domestic violence. My goal is to unpack unhelpful behaviors, thoughts, and beliefs while affirming the parts of you that are already health-giving and thriving (and believe me, we all have these parts!). I am a first-generation Cuban American, born and raised in Miami, y tambi?n hablo espa?ol! My journey in the mental health field began over six years ago when I worked as a Mental Health Case Manager, guiding individuals and families through life's many difficult obstacles. I also started support groups for children and adults newly diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and have been a strong advocate for these individuals ever since. Through that work and by investing time and energy into people's needs, I realized how much I truly enjoy connecting with and helping others. That's what brought me back to school to earn my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Barry University-driven by my desire to spend my career doing what I love: helping people heal!
