Welcome! I’m glad you’re here today. I believe that you can get better. I believe your relationship can get better. I believe you care deeply about your child (and/or parents). In short, with the proper tools, you can change how you function in your life. I thank you for your courage and trust in reaching out to me. My past clients have seen improvement in their relationships, increased ability to cope with depression, anxiety, peer pressure, and substance/process addiction. Many have reported feeling supported and cared for while in a therapeutic relationship with me, as well as set up for success upon termination. Most of all, they find their way back to themselves in a world that demands they perform with no off switch. It can be crippling when there’s a misfit between you and your family, job, or your own expectations. You’ll get a safe, supportive environment to challenge thinking and behavior patterns that no longer serve you. At the end, you’ll better understand yourself and why you’ve headed down this path. I use a mix of experiential and cognitive-behavioral therapies, and help you develop excellent physical and mental health habits. I serve as a bridge between parents and children for the “generation gap,” especially with technology, slang, and trends. I’m a native Oklahoman transplanted to Atlanta in 2011. Due to hearing impairment, I developed deep compassion for those on the outside looking in, and a determination “to help” from a young age. This compassion and fascination with emotions, psychology, and the human body led me to complete my undergraduate and graduate social work degrees at the University of Oklahoma, earning both my Bachelor’s and Master’s in Social Work. I have practiced as a clinical social worker since 2007 in various settings: residential substance abuse centers, private practice, and community mental health centers. Most recently, I primarily work with folks growing their families.
