Jeanne Jankus, LMFT

Psychotherapist
WA
Hi there, I'm Jeanne! It is hard for many of us to reach out to someone for help. It may be embarrassment, or being unsure how therapy would help heal you. Our journey together will be a compassionate, nonjudgemental classroom where you will learn more of your pure self and its ability to heal. My focus I work with individuals, couples and families. My background is trauma and relationships including the Client's relationship to their self, world and others. We work together to build safe attachment by utilizing evidence based modalities with current neuroscience by empowering you to make the life you want. My approach I tailor my therapy to each client, whether its with a individual or relational client, to empower them for future self-healing. I integrate evidence based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Gottman, IFS, narrative therapy, and attachment therapies, along with other neuroscience based modalities. My communication style I have a warm but direct approach utilizing experiences and modalities to enable you to recraft your own story. We evaluate each week your progress, problems and insights, while holding space for compassion, connection and humor between us, while suppporting you in your relationship with your self. My journey to mental healthcare I have always been interested in people, their experiences and struggles. I knew I wanted to be a therapist even in high school. I finally was able to attend grad school, after raising my children, later in life. I have learned that the most important part of life is a secure safe attachment with our sacred attachments and with ourselves.
